Welcome to my book blog!

I usually read books that pertain to the Supernatural/Paranormal genre. My blog will include books about vampires, witches, wolves, ghosts, and pretty much any other "not normal" thing. I just read for fun and thought this would be a great way to get my opinion on the so many books that I read, out there for everyone else to see! This is a very informal blog for me. Just my opinions and recommendations!

Fallen Review

Title: Fallen

Author: Lauren Kate

Publish date: 12/8/2008

My rating: ★★★☆☆

Synopsis:

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

Lucinda Price is caught in a love triangle with two guys who are completely opposite. Daniel wants nothing to do with her, and seems to be hot one minute and cold the next, while Cam is openly affectionate and tries to talk to her every chance he gets. Yet with Daniel she feels like she has known him from somewhere. She gets these "knowing" thoughts and she doesn't know where they come from. All the while she's stuck at this reform school for an accident that she had nothing to do with and can't tell the police what actually happened because everyone will think she's crazy. But little does Luce know, that she is a part of a century ongoing feud between Heaven and Hell.

There's just not much to say about this book. It was extremely drawn out for me. It took until I was about half way through to even start to interest me. It had a very short climax, and then back down to the drawn out stage, and finally at the end it gave me a semi good cliff hanger. Its not the worst book i've ever read, but I probably won't be reading it again any time soon.
